Floyd Fighting Style™

Floyd Fighting Style, or Style-Combat is a combat system ported from CEV Eris as an alternative to regular armored combat.

As a general rule, unarmored clothing is stylish while clothing that provides some form of protection or utility is not.

Acquiring Style

All characters start with 0 style points maximum, and 0.5 style points regenerated per second. Wearing certain clothes or clothing sets can grant the wearer a boost to their maximum style, increased style regen, or both.

Clothing that grants armor or utility, such as bulletproof vests and tool belts, is unstylish, and will reduce your maximum style points or regen.

What does style do?

Style points allow you to dodge bullets and explosions, with 1 style point equaling 1 point of damage you can dodge. You can acquire negative style points, up to 3x your maximum. Doing so will put you into "debt", meaning that you can no longer dodge until you gain the points back. Use this to your advantage to dodge heavy-hitting bullets.

Certain weapons deal less style damage than others, such as submachine guns and rifles, meaning you can dodge many more bullets with the same amount of style points.

Countering Style

Naturally, shooting at someone enough will deplete all of their style points, allowing you to damage them normally. Stylish clothes have little to no armor, meaning the defender will die much quicker than normal after running out of style.

Certain weapons like revolvers do EXTRA style damage.
Melee and thrown weapons also completely ignore style. Get up close and personal.
